The First Purge...
Now we have all seen at least one Purge so at this point we kind of know what to expect by now. Right? WRONG! This is a Prequel to the madness that we have seen before. That's right the mother of all Purge movies was this one. Here we have Staten Island of all places was picked to be apart of the newly rolled out "Purge". Can you guess where that beautiful idea came from.... BINGO! the very top of the food chain and can you guess where it all started? You Guessed it again the poorest areas of the small island. Think Today's climate and you will have all the trimmings of the film if they implemented a nationwide "Purge" There was Pussy grabbing reference in there and a dash of radicals too. Now one would think I'm ragging on this film. WRONG! The complete opposite. In the world of last year "this couldn't happen here" We are seeing the world as we always should have been looking at it. Unpredictable. This movie is a clear indication This is what the world would look like if we Purged.

MY Love for Janet Jackson is explained....
I realized that I've been in love with Janet Jackson since "Dream Street" my auntie Jamie gave me Janet and I was hooked ever since. I would copy her video(which was hard to do back then) I use to recreate videos all the time. Mind you I was all of 5/6. When I turned 6 there was this Janet control t shirt I got for my bday. I wore that shirt everywhere all the time and refused to take it off.
I just loved her as a kid. But when I got older the love only grew with me. She became important to me the albums started to hit home that "Janet" album was the ticket. Growing into a teen. ( albums lasted much longer back then) no at 10 I wasn't there but the music was stuck in my brain. Somewhere around 13 going back to the Janet album I could relate to the subject matters then like a tone of bricks "Design of a decade" came out. "24 play" was the song hormones raging I got it.
Somewhere In there I had my first sexual experience "24 play" playing in the background on repeat. 14/15 came and I was in a different place feeling so many things couldn't grasp what was happening and like always Janet came with the "velvet rope" my life as I knew it was an album. Songs like: "You" "Free xone" "Together Again" which I attributed to my first love and later it would come to be a shout out to family members that are no longer here. "I get lonely" "Special" "Tonight's the night" later on "Ropeburn" "Anything" someone introduced me to what tonight's the nights meaning late night on what I thought was a friendly outing. "What about" was a song I knew all too well by what I witnessed during my childhood. I came to know it later as a new adult.
In an argument that turned quickly I could here the lyrics as that escalated and I was done. As time moved on. I knew who I was and I was ok with me bordering adulthood Janet gave me "All for you" it seemed Janet and I were on the same page I was single and happy but shortly fell hard for a fellow Janet fan. "Someone to call my lover" was me. "When we ooohh" "China love" they had them Asian eyes and that album was all me. After that was all said and Done "Damita Jo" I was newly single and grown nuff said I wanted to have fun and I did. I say all this to say Janet has always in her own way been there for me. When I listen I remember where I was and how far I've come. And how there's always work to do. The understanding of "Unbreakable" is you have arrived to this place now what you gonna do? You thought it didn't get any better than. This but life happened and showed you. Remember who YOU are. Love isn't about control. #IStandWithJanet #SOTW #Jtribe4Life

Billboard ZZZZZZZZZ
While yes the billboards in the past have been my favorite award show. This was by far the worst award show I have seen ever. ugh of course Drake and Beyonce were the darlings of the evening aka the award hoarders, The award show focused mainly on lack luster performances with gems in the middle Celine with the celebration of the now 20 year old hit "My heart will go on" (as does that song) a tearful Celine belted her heart out with audience participation as much as I am far removed from the hit I absolutely Love me some Celine who also looked amazing 1 year after her husband Rene passed away from his long battle with cancer. Good for you Celine.
Now Cher #MicDrop. Cher at 71 showed every single chippy this is what showmanship looks like she came to the stage with her epic hit "Believe" costume 1 and then yes.... In classic Cher fashion costume 2 complete with the now iconic "If I could turn back time" Outfit and The Hair..... Cher also was Billboards recipient "Icon Award" Come on how could you not she has no.1's in 6 yes 6 decades and LOOKED AMAZING... work it out Cher. The last stitch efforts to hold the award show together Bruno Mars (who should have opened the show) gave you his new single "Too good to say Goodbye" Outside of these 3 mentioned nothing to write home about not really because other performers were no good it just didn't flow from start to finish to be honest I kept an eye on facebook just to see when Bruno came on Thank you Romes... And Thank you all for sticking with me with my spotty commentary but I'm Back and can't wait to dish.... xoxoxox

Ladies and Gents... I Give You Grown And Sexy Britney Spears
With the new release of "Glory" We aren't Getting bubble gum pop princess Britney, Oh no We are getting the Britney That the "Blackout" album gave us a peek of. Yes Our Girl has put on those big girl pants and snapped her fingers and asked " Are You Ready"? This album gives you a complete grown version of the evolution of Ms. Spears.
With the single "Make Me" we hear soft but in charge vocals where she is clear speaking to whomever about getting it in. However we have other tracks like "Clumsy" "Do You Wanna Come Over" "Change Your Mind (No Seas Cortes) &" "Liar" Just to name a few.
This is an Mid To Uptempo album where you can let play cover to cover. You can Tell she took her time with this as it took her 2 years to record it. No Doubt Grown and sexy Brit will Grace the stage when she returns to Vegas, However Before that she will be on stage at This Sunday's VMA's On MTV.... My recommendation is If you LOVED The "Blackout" Album as I do. Then this album is a great follow up to That. Actually It would be a mix of Blackout,Femme, and Britney Jean... Check it out I'm giving it a 4/5 and spend the extra Money on The Deluxe Album.....

Year of Yes ....By Shonda Rhimes And Hello My Name Is Doris....
In late 2015 I began a quest to figure out this wonderful confusing thing called life... 2015 was very unkind to me losing both my grandmother and my step father and so many other things seem to go wrong. So My best friend and spoke about it and decided that we would embark on this journey to get to "Yes". I did the audio book. So Listening to Shonda and the examples she gave spoke to the very core of who I had become over the years. A shell of the original person I once was, Guarded, stressed, No hope... Listening to Shonda made me understand How this happened and what I needed to do to change it. I won't Give away the book but if you are looking for a fantastic read with a possibility different way to look at life... This is your book....
Very Much Like The book "Year Of Yes" This Movie was a Coming of Age film with issue we all deal with at a time in our lives. Doris compromised her life for the sake of others. She then finds a breath of fresh air in a young co. worker who awakens feelings in her she thought were long gone. Doris scared and on unfamiliar ground just dives right in for the greatest love of them all... Herself... No spoiler but this is a much deeper story on the surface. A story somewhat too familiar to us all... Fantastic film.... Sally Field Still holds our Hearts with this role she completely takes you on a journey....

SPECTRE
While some of you know I am a James Bond Fan since my younger years, So Of course I was Jumping out of my skin to see the new Bond "Spectre" The Movie picks up where we left off in "Sky Fall" Where we find James in a bit of sticky situation as it looks as though the The double 0 agency maybe at it's end. Without giving the movie away We also find out a bit more about younger Bond and why certain things have been happening in his personal life. The Movie it self was Great However I really wasn't a huge fan of the ending, but it doesn't stop me from still giving this film a Circus review of 4.5 and Sam Smith's "Writing On The Wall" is the perfect entry to the roller coaster ride that is "Spectre"
