Hey All I wanted to wait for all the dust to clear before I went in on this years Gammy Nomination. I am in love with the fact that Nicky Minaj wasn't nominated for any Grammys even though she has been featured on several hit songs through the past year. Also I was Stunned (but not surprised) to See Beyonce Managed to get nominated for a live performance of "Halo".

Just when I thought all hope was lost I saw Chris Brown was Nominated for 3 Grammy's including one for his album "Graffiti" Congrats Chris and it would be funny if "Deuces" beats out Jayz's "Empire state of mind" hmmmm...

The Best R&B female Category read like my 90's/2000 CD Collection:
Monica,Fantasia,Faith,Kelly Price That really put a huge smile on my face because too many times we forget what vocals really are and get caught up in all the performance and studio packages.

Em. is Nominated for 10 grammy's and Gaga 6 along with Ceelo and B.O.B this Grammy year seems to be off to a great start hopefully we keep this going and music can finally get back to basics where we had songs that lasted us a lifetime.

XTINA MAKES HER MOVIE DEBUT

I AM GUSHING BECAUSE I JUST SAW BURLESQUE WITH OUR GIRL XTINA AND CHER. I WAS SOLD ON THIS FILM EVER SINCE THEY WENT TO LAST YEARS GOLDEN GOLBES TOGETHER IT WAS A GAY MANS DREAM A UP AND COMING GAY ICON AND THE GAY LEGEND HERSELF TOGETHER SO THERE.. TODAY ALONG WITH MY FRIEND EBONY WENT AD SAW THE FILM AND PEOPLE.. FORGET WHAT THE CRTICS ARE SAYING THIS WAS A GREAT FILM TO SEE TO GET AWAY FROM ALL THIS HOLIDAY MESS. WE WERE ALL SMILES AND TAPPING OUR FOOT THE MUSIC WAS DONE SO WELL AND XTINA EXEC. PRODUCED THE MUSIC AND IT WAS FANTASTIC. HER DANCING WAS VERY GOOD COMPARED TO WHAT WE SAW ON THE AMA'S AND HER ACTING WAS NOT BAD AT ALL SHE IS WELL ON HER WAY.. WAY TO GO XTINA ..XOXOXOXOXOXO

Missed everyone so much. Thanks to Andreflava for keeping me in the blog light. Now I wouldn't be me if I didn't go in on the forgetable AMA's I will start at the top.

Rhianna- While her performance wasn't bad it was not that great either.. She needs to take a break.

Usher- OMG!I think it's funny how one song made his career comeback. His performance was very weak and he seemed out of it.

Xtina- I lov Love Love Love her however I am not sure if she is depressed or Preggers again.

Taylor Swift- Show cased her new single and that was cool but on everyone's tongue was Her new look "grown and sexy" and did not know tha she has the fastest selling album in 5 years.

The Awards have offically gone in the books as the worst year in history. No one was there and the performances were like a rehersal. I am really concerned of what we hold to Good Music. This award show is a joke Bring back the Billboard Awards hey were atleast based on something I am so not sure how some of these people win these awards it's just sad. There is no excitment in the industry anymore as a music lover I cling to yesterdays music to keep faith that it will get better. Pop music was always fun and meant for everyone now it's like we are less about great quality music and more images and studio creations. So Artist like: Rhianna, Niki Minaj,Jason Darulo, Ashante,Kesha,American Idol,... Have shown that all you have to do is look half way decent slap some make up and designer clothes on them carry atune and puff u have a hit WTF!!!

THE MOMENTS THE BET AWARDS WEREN'T PAINFUL TO WATCH

As a watcher of Award shows I watched this years BET Awards in which they celebrated 10 years you would have never known because you really don't care. I was on my feet when I CHRIS BROWN did the MJ tribute as he should have done last year. He killed it with the dance moves but what really got me was when he was supposed to sing "Man in the mirror" he couldn't she cried and tried to do it anyway but emotions got the best of him in that very moment. Chris was like so many of us last year and even this year of the death of MJ he wasn't a "woman beater" as you all painted him out to be or a "heartless person" He was just Chris a Fan of someone who changed his life as they have changed ours. I was on Twitter earlier and Chris tweeted: "I hope you are watching the BET Awards..lol" I can say as a loyal fan I realized in that very moment why I was a fan in the first place. It is hard to dance and sing and it it also hard to do that with the world at your shoulders Remember that Chris also won an award from the fans.... El Debarge made a shocking appearance looking great and still sounding wonderful. The Prince Tribute was good but the shocking part was a very pregnant Alicia Keys jumps on the piano during her performance of "Adore" Prince looked very concerned but was very pleased with her performance. As he excepted his award he made it clear that he was wild in his younger days and the younger artist need not make the same mistakes that he made. Sadly these were the best parts of the night I need BET to get it together after 10 years and they still are excepting money for awards...SAD
